Lee Michael Cohn is an internationally renowned teacher, writer, producer, and director. He recently produced the feature film Bachelor Lions for RiverRock Films, starring Jon Lovitz, Robert Davi, David Arquette, James Maslow, and Mitchel Musso. He is currently producing Seven Days as a Kingpin, also for RiverRock. He is the director/co-creator of Inside Private Lives, the award-winning theatrical show that placed in the Top Ten out of over 2,000 entries at The Edinburgh Theatre Festival and won the S.F. Fringe Theatre Festival. The show was recommended by the NY Times, L.A. Times, L.A. Weekly, and was featured on NBC. 

Lee was one of 25 writers selected annually out of over 700 applicants for the Warner Bros Comedy Writers Workshop. He co-authored A Practical Handbook For The Actor, the best-selling textbook of the last 25 years (over 300,000 copies sold) that is required reading in hundreds of theatre programs and has been translated into Dutch, Japanese, Chinese, and Turkish.

Lee was profiled as one of NY’s top acting teachers in Qualified Acting Coaches: New York (Smith & Kraus). He has taught at numerous institutions including NYU, the New World School of the Arts, AMDA, and The Atlantic Theatre Co. Acting School. Former students include Sope Aluko (Black Panther), Zosia Mamet (Girls), Simon Helberg (Big Bang Theory), Mariana Palka, (actress GLOW, writer/director Bitch), and Adepero Aduye (12 Years a Slave). He holds a BFA in Drama (NYU) and an MFA in Creative Writing (UC Riverside). He is currently at work on a book about directing actors.
